Created by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the SOC 2 framework is a globally acknowledged security compliance standard for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) organizations. Obtaining this certification signifies Union.ai's dedication to executing and sustaining efficient information security measures.
To achieve SOC 2 Type II compliance, a rigorous audit and documentation process is necessary to establish and maintain best practices for preventing, detecting, and mitigating any potential threats to data security. This process was executed by Sansiba San Filippo LLP, an independent auditor, and spanned a period of 12 weeks, during which multiple layers of protection were put in place to prevent and address any potential threats against the Security, Confidentiality and Availability of Union Cloud’s systems and processes, while also providing an attestation that those controls are working correctly.
Several SOC 2 Type II audit activities were performed to ensure Union Cloud’s reliable delivery of services, including:
- Verifying the operational efficiency of Union.ai service delivery networks, hardware, and facilities.
- Testing procedures pertaining to data security and encryption
- Evaluating Union.ai’s software development processes, including management of changes to applications and databases.
- Confirmation that personnel involved in providing services to customers have undergone proper vetting and training.
